My name is Kristina Johnson and I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful new resource for my fellow neonatal nurses. I am a new nurse graduate and will be transitioning into my dream job as a NICU nurse with UNC Healthcare in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. My journey to become a neonatal nurse began a little over three years ago when my son was born at 28 weeks gestation and spent many months in the Newborn Critical Care Center at UNC. My passion for nursing grew in that NICU alongside my tiny son and now I am elated to be a part of the greatest job in the world!
Every day we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of babies, their families, and our fellow team members and that is why this blog is so important! The Neonatal Connection is going to be a place of inspiration, encouragement, knowledge, and a glimpse of the ups and downs we face in the NICU. It is truly a pleasure to have you stop by and I hope you will share in my enthusiasm for neonatal nursing!
